Support the NHS Foundation's Celebrity Hockey Event!
The NHS Blue Thunder will face off against the NHS White Lightning to raise money in support of the mission of NHS and the NHS Human Services Foundation. Philadelphia Hockey Legends will join the Thunder and Lightning to “battle” each other on the ice. Former Philadelphia Flyer Hall of Famer, Brian Propp, and other hockey celebrities will assist both teams as they gear up to take to the ice in a fierce – but friendly – competition at the Flyers Skate Zone in Northeast Philly.
The game will be followed by a Meet & Greet Reception at the Southampton Room where you can interact with the Hockey Celebrities in an informal manner. Last year, Danny Briere, Todd Fedoruk, Larry Goodenough, Kjell Samuelsson and Lou Nolan (public address announcer for the Flyers) were in attendance, and we expect some of these hockey greats, along with others, to join us again this year.
Funds raised from this event will help support the NHS IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) Prom, the NHS Schools Lunch Program (Pantry for Pride), NHS Behavioral Health addiction services (Recovery House Scholarship), and other NHS Programs. You can make a difference and help impact the lives of some very special individuals, by supporting the NHS Foundation and the 13th Annual Goals for Giving Hockey Benefit.
There are several ways to participate:
